Thanksgiving Dinner Cranberry Sauce

(optional) use store bought or the following:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/2 lbs (apx. 2 cups) fresh cranberries
Combine sugar and water in large saucepan; stir to dissolve sugar. Heat to boil for 5 minutes. Add 1/2 pound (2 cups) cranberries. Cook about 5 minutes, or until skins pop. Remove from heat and stir well. Serve warm or chilled. Makes 2 cups
