Granola

7 c. rolled oats
1 c. wheat germ
1 c. sunflower seeds
1 c. sesame seeds
1 c. coconut
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. honey
1 c. canola oil
1 tsp. salt
1 c. powdered milk
1-2 c. any nuts
raisins, craisins, and pumpkin seeds also welcome
or omit nuts and extras completely

Mix all ingredients and bake @ 250 degrees for 2 hours, mixing every 15-20 minutes.

Enjoy as a cereal, hot or cold, on ice cream, yogurt, with salad, whatever... just enjoy!

Green Smoothie



Place the following in blender:
1 C. orange juice
2 C. fresh spinach (not the frozen kind)
1 C. fresh kale (cut out the thick center stem) or subsitute extra spinach
Blend until smooth and green
Add:1/2 banana
1/4 C. frozen raspberries
1/4 C. frozen blueberriesBlend again and then add ICE while blending!

Amish Oatmeal

1/2 cup oil
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
3 cups quick oats
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 cup milk
1 apple peeled and chopped
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup dried cranberries

Mix oil, sugar and eggs with whisk, stir in dry ingredients adding fruit last. Pour into 9 inch greased pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve with cream or milk.
